Every car interior is different. There are different shapes and materials inside and as the sound bounces off the interior walls it changes the acoustics and sound. If you are going to install the perfect sound system and truly looking for perfection you must take all this into consideration and that means doing a complete Interior Automotive Acoustic Analysis and Study. When it comes to auto sound a system, one question seems to be repeated often-is bigger better?

The honest answer for that is not by a long shot. There are the excellent quality sound systems that will not require the backseat and your first-born to enjoy wonderful quality of sound and music as you drive along on you’re daily commute. One thing that is important to remember is that dynamite does in fact come in small packages. The same can be true of a good quality sound system for your car, truck, or SUV.

You can elect to have the full range sound package. This package, if not custom installed by the dealer can take up many of real estate within your car, truck, or SUV. If you own a compact car, these types of speakers and this particular type of sound system is definitely not recommended. The first reason it is unattractive is that it will most likely require either most of your trunk or take out your back seat. I for one like being able to cart around friends, relatives, and/or children-my back seat isn’t up for grabs. I also prefer the continuity of a factory-installed system that takes up none of the premium living space within the interior of my SUV.

I am biased towards the wonderful sound quality of the Bose sound system and speakers. The quality of sound with this particular system is excellent and any true music lover will tell you that good quality of sound is better by far than a louder sound. This is not to say that the Bose sound system will be the perfect choice for everyone to use as his or her auto sound system only that it is my first choice as a music lover.

I prefer a softer sound that has good quality to a louder sound of the substandard or even average quality on any day. The problem with most ‘big’ sound systems andspeakers is that they often sound hollow or tinny rather than full and robust. A good auto sound system will provide the best possible sound within the confines of the least possible space. You will probably find that you don’t need to sacrifice your backseat in order to hold thespeakers and while the Bose sound system for automobiles does cost more than some sound systems, it won’t require a second mortgage on your home in order to afford. There are actually times in life when you get what you pay for.

The important thing to remember is that you do not have to have the most expensive, the best known, or even the biggest sound system in order to have a wonderful quality sound system in your automobile. You will not even have to have a Bose sound system in order to have a sound system that is not only excellent quality but also excellent sound. You do not need to pay an arm and a leg or any other appendages in order to have a good sound on your daily commute to work.

Music is all around us, at work, at home, on television shows. Music sets moods, sets tones, and kills moods on occasion. It only makes sense that you have good quality equipment upon which to play the music that so greatly enhances and enriches your life. A regular car audio system refers to a manufacturer installed system. A custom car installation can involve anything from the upgrade of the radio to a total custom fit-out. Events are held where people compete for the loudest or most innovative systems.

The most common pieces of equipment are the radio/tape player/CD player/DVD Player called a Head unit, or a head deck. These components are likely to be upgraded with an after market product. Speakers are located in doors and rear shelves of a cars. High-end stereo systems often have speakers mounted in kick panels, to accommodate larger drivers and better controller placement. Before stereo radio was introduced, the most common speaker location was in the middle of the dashboard. High-end systems will have Component Speakers that have balanced tweeter, mid-range, and woofer settings. They are available in two speaker and three speaker combinations, and include an audio crossover to limit frequency ranges that the speakers must handle. This allows each cone to produce optimal frequency for maximum sound quality and volume. In addition subwoofers are provided for bass and sub bass, the lower the frequency the less the ear picks it up, but the vibration is more pronounced. Sub bass is omni-directional, meaning that the ear can't figure out where the sound is coming from.

Amplifiers

Amplifiers make power to drive the speakers. The amplifier is a very important component of a speaker system. It makes sure that the total power handling capacity of the speakers is adhered to. Amplifiers commonly come in two,four or six channels. Subwoofer amplifiers are mostly Mono Amplifiers. It is common that multiple channels are marked for the exclusive use in allowing for more than one channel to be used.

Capacitors

Capacitors are used to store energy for the amplifier. Capacitors are useful because they can reduce voltage loss to other components in a car. Large capacitors sometimes offset headlight and/or interior light dimming because of too little amp draw from the alternator. A capacitor is only good for an audio system trying to get too many amps from the electrical system. A capacitor doesn't provide more power, it just stores it. The alternator must have more than 20% amp power than the entire vehicle and sound system combined for a capacitor to be of benefit. About 0.5 farad of capacitance is needed for every 500 watts of power. A capacitor does not affect sound in any way. It is strictly for power conditioning.

Mount the speakers in the door or in the dashboard of your car. Normally they will fit in the facory pre-made mounting holes. If you want an improved sound reinforce with a baffle of MDF-board or similar. An installation high up on the door side is to be prefered. In many vehicles there are factory made places for tweeters that you can use for installation. If this is impossible, try to Install the tweeter close to the bass/mid driver. The tweeter can also be installed on the dash-board, or recessed in the door with the accessories in the tweeter box. It is important to fasten the speakers properly in order to avoid bad sound or rattling. The tweeters are equipped with an integrated filter in the tweeter cabling.

Their Alfa Romeo features 45,000 € worth of modifications and audio accessories - installed in its boot are two Gemini TT-02 turntables and a Gemini PMX-03 mixer.

Besides the several power classes in the SPL format, the categories of the SQ format have two power classes: one up to 600 and the other over 600.

The Texas-based car audio organization dB Drag Racing was initiated by Wayne Harris in 1996. Wayne himself is regarded as a renowned car audio competitor and sound off legend. His dB Drag Racing show offers the exciting title of the loudest vehicle to the competitors of the car audio show.

The participants are categorized on the basis of the number of woofers in their system and the degree of modification of their car audio system. An exciting feature of dB Drag Racing competitions is the display of measurements on a large drag racing type that appears to the viewers like a tree of electronic display.
